Hello everyone. I have been studying French with Oksana for only 6 months. I started learning the language from scratch when I moved to France because of the war. After six months of continuous work on the language, I can already speak and write SMS in French, understand what they say in the movies and on the radio. Yes, I don’t understand everything, and I can’t say everything. But now in the pharmacy, in the store, at work and with neighbors I can keep up a conversation and say what I need. Last year, when I left U.S. and moved to France, it very quickly became apparent to me that the vast majority of French people don't speak English; therefore I realized that it was imperative that I learn French fast. I would like to share my experience of learning English with my teacher Oksana. Although I have studied English for many years, including school and university, my speaking practice left much to be desired. Oksana changed this situation with her original method. Each lesson includes listening to audio on topics close to everyday life - from shopping to visiting a doctor. We analyze these scenarios, paying attention to grammar and vocabulary, and then retell and discuss them. This approach helps to improve listening skills and speaking abilities at the same time. Oksana supported me and inspired me to study, thanks to which I learned to speak English fluently and confidently.
